Michael Jackson Propofol Homicide

Suicide Or Homicide – Who Is To Blame For Michael Jackson’s Death?

It seems that the Michael Jackson story will continue to shock us long after his demise. The Los Angeles Country Coroner has ruled Michael Jackson’s death a homicide, caused by a cocktail of drugs. This finding spells bad news for Conrad Murray, the doctor who was with Michael when he died.

Forensic testing has revealed that the powerful anesthetic propofol acted together with at least two other sedatives to cause Jackson’s untimely demise. Propofol is a hypnotic agent that is commonly used for procedural sedation and general anesthesia.

Dr. Conrad Murray is a Las Vegas cardiologist who stepped up as Michael’s personal physician weeks before his demise. He is now under fire for administering the drugs to Michael and is likely to have to face criminal charges.

According to Conrad, Michael suffered from insomnia and he treated it for about six weeks with 50 milligrams of propofol every night. Fearing that Michael would form an addiction to the anesthetic, Conrad lowered the dosage to 25 milligrams and added the additional sedatives lorazepam and midazolam.

Conrad stated that he tried to administer alternative drugs to Michael but they were not effective. Michael repeatedly requested propofol and on June 25th, Conrad gave in and administered a dose of 25 milligrams. Michael fell asleep and never woke up.

Now, the question on everyone’s mind is “Who is to blame”? Was Michael responsible for his own death or is this a case of homicide? The Jackson family has released a statement saying that they are confident in the legal process and that they look forward to the day that justice can be served.

When it comes to the blame game, it seems that the public is split. Many believe that Conrad was just doing what he was told whilst others believe that he murdered Michael by purchasing and administering the drugs.

It may not be clear who is really responsible for the death of the ‘King of Pop’ but one thing is certain; this case is far from over.
